A multi-disciplinary teaching and research program
Muriel Barbazan has devoted over 20 years of teaching and research to a fundamental question: how can we make it easier for non-French-speaking pupils and students to learn French?
Her approach is based both on solid expertise in linguistics and recognized proficiency in cognitive psychology (learning, memorization and production processes in foreign languages).
This interdisciplinary approach has enabled Muriel Barbazan to contribute to the renewal of FLE learning, notably through an innovative approach to the teaching of grammar and the functioning of French in texts.
His many students have been able to test his approach and overwhelmingly confirm its clarity and effectiveness.
The quality of his publications and the journals that have published them attest to the scientific value of his research and proposals.
